As of August 25, 2011, the NLRB now requires all private-sector employers covered by the NLRA to post a union rights notice. The posting requirement applies whether your business is unionized or not, and regardless of whether your business is located in a Right to Work state or not. The new rule requires employers to post the notice in “conspicuous places where they are readily seen by employees.” That notice also tells employees how to complain to the NLRB if they feel their NLRA rights have been violated.
This is a dramatic step to increase union involvement, and all employers need to be aware of the new requirements.
