Just because you have a legal right to do something doesn’t mean that you should. If you have a green light, but you see that an 18-wheeler is approaching the intersection at a high rate of speed and can’t stop in time, are you going to proceed into the intersection because you have a legal right to do so? Of course not!

Just because you have a legal right to sue someone, you need to ask yourself if it makes sense to do so. How collectible would a judgment be? Or would you be throwing good money after bad? Is it really worth pursuing? The cost of litigation is not just monetary. It takes time and causes emotional strain as well.

Just use common sense. If you decide to take legal action, go into it with your eyes wide open.
